The Intova IC800 underwater camera is a great sports photography camera at a super price. It includes all kinds of great features like a polycarbonate housing that is very durable and tested to a depth of 180’, a shock absorbent gasket inside the housing which protects the camera from getting damaged, ability to use camera outside of housing when on dry land, 4x digital zoom and a 3” display so you can easily see what you are capturing on camera.

This camera operates in both still picture and video mode and, according to customers, it does great in both! That being said, you must read the instructions and figure out how to work the camera to get it to take great pictures. One of the customers who reviewed this product didn’t get such great shots at first, but once they read the manual and used it properly the pictures came out fantastic.

Several of the reviewers used the camera on many dives with great results and one person is even on his 4th Intova underwater camera because he likes the brand so much! As long as you have proper lighting the colors are fantastic but it does get a bit blue at a distance and, thus, a filter is recommended unless you will be shooting all closeup. All in all, this camera is an excellent underwater camera for the price and a very good buy.

Now, the Intova IC800 is rated 3 stars over at Amazon, but if you look at the reviews, it should actually be 4 stars because many people loved it and gave it 5 stars. A few seemed to have gotten a bad camera and the 1 stars they rated it brought the average down.
